I walk into work at 4pm and prepare to watch the dance of humanity. I love my job 95% of the time. What else could a person do that means getting paid to socialize? Great job for the class chatterbox throughout school!
Mr. Bourbon and Coke laughs
At all of my jokes when he's drinking
Mr. Martini stares and he
Never shares what he's thinking.
Miss Sexy Red Wine tells me at closing time
That she'll phone me
Mr. Whiskey Shot Glass watches hookers
Walk past when he's lonely.
I'm a bartender
I pour the drinkers
Laugh with the sinners
And cry with the saints
And even if they don't remember
I try to make their bar tender.
Mr. Never Does Tip says
That none of his kids ever call home
Mrs. Chews On Her Lip tells someone
She's at work on her cell phone.
Mrs. Husband Just Died always
Breaks down and cries on the weekends
Just another long night in a
Bartender's life with some good friends.
I'm a bartenderI pour the drinkers
Laugh with the sinners
And cry with the saints
And even if they don't remember
I try to make their bar tender.
And even if they don't remember
I try to make their bar tender...

4. Memory Motel - Rolling Stones
One of my favorite Stones songs. In high-school we spent an unimaginable amount of time trying to determine the location of the motel from clues in the song. I had a t-shirt made for my boyfriend that read “Where is Memory Motel”.
You're just a memory of a love
That used to mean so much to me
You're just a memory girl
You're just a sweet memory
And it used to mean so much to me
Sha la la la la
She got a mind of her own
And she use it well
Mighty fine, she's one of a kind
On the seventh day my eyes were all a glaze
We've been ten thousand miles
Been in fifteen states
Every woman seemed to fade out of my mind
I hit the bottle and hit the sack and cried
What's all this laughter on the 22nd floor
It's just some friends of mine
And they're busting down the door
Been a lonely night at the Memory Motel
You're just a memory of a love
That used to mean so much to me
You're just a memory girl
You're just a sweet memory
And it used to mean so much to me
Sha la la la la
She got a mind of her own
And she use it well
Mighty fine, she's one of a kind
On the seventh day my eyes were all a glaze
We've been ten thousand miles
Been in fifteen states
Every woman seemed to fade out of my mind
I hit the bottle and hit the sack and cried
What's all this laughter on the 22nd floor
It's just some friends of mine
And they're busting down the door
Been a lonely night at the Memory Motel

3. Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder
A time when I was not quite sure of myself. My friends weren’t friends and I allowed myself to be used and abused by them. Low self-esteem and lacking confidence. That time really contributed to my current higher self-esteem and escalated confidence.
Music is a world within itself
With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands
But just because a record has a groove
Don't make it in the groove
But you can tell right away at letter A
When the people start to move
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
Music is a world within itself
With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands
But just because a record has a groove
Don't make it in the groove
But you can tell right away at letter A
When the people start to move
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people
They can feel it all over
They can feel it all over people

2. Send in the Clowns - Shirley Bassey
Oh the terror that I felt when I heard that beautiful soothing voice. The only sound throughout the house when my mother was angry. Should I take the wrath? Or run away fast as I can. I chose the latter whenever possible.
Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?
Losing my timing this lateIn my career?
And where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns
Well maybe
Next year
Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?
Losing my timing this lateIn my career?
And where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns
Well maybe
Next year

1. Amazing Grace
One note and I tear up. Remembering how small I really am. Remembering I am never really alone. Remembering there is always hope. Remembering I still have faith. Perfect song when performed by anyone. Ringing out from Scottish Warpipes is my favorite.
Through many dangers
Toils and snares
I have already come
twas grace that brought me
Safely thus far
And grace will lead me home
And when this heart
And flesh shall fail
And mortal life shall cease
I shall possess
Within the vail
A life of joy and peace
Through many dangers
Toils and snares
I have already come
twas grace that brought me
Safely thus far
And grace will lead me home
And when this heart
And flesh shall fail
And mortal life shall cease
I shall possess
Within the vail
A life of joy and peace
